TRAI reduces the Domstic leased line tariffs. The earlier announcement ran in rough weather with the courts; I am not aware of the decision so far. It remains to be seen as to how the ISP’s reduce the rates for the end customers.
BSNL has a virtual monopoly in the domestic leased lines. They would oppose tooth and nail against the price reduction. They have started talking in the media already; estimated revenue losses were mentioned in crores! Seriously these bunch of idiots need to get some fresh air and realise what all we have to suffer to get a cheap access.
