Tags: , , ,

If you are not happy, feel free to leave us…

This is an actual statement from the representatives of the ! Arrogance in Bangalore IT Scenario? Quite disgusting I would say…

Port 6667 is blocked. So what?

Use other ports (most IRC servers accept connections on other ports also such as 7000. Visit the home page of the IRC server that you wish to connect and get a list of ports on which they accept connections. That's all.

It works for me out here in BLR....
Cheers,
Sunil

I was annoyed with that too. I called them up and what do i hear....

They do not have government permission to allow IRC.

We had too many virus problems and so we have blocked it.

hurrah for the broadband revolution and if you are thinking of it, use the gun instead.

yeah. i moved to hutch as well. :)

hmmm. Well it turns out Airtel customer support is pathetic. I was a cellular subscriber till a couple of months ago. shoddy treatment of customers and non-existent fault rectification. Their approach to customer service is deny all responsibility and blame the customer, the handset and verything under the sun...
