Chinese- no love lost

by Abhishek on November 28, 2005

This isn’t related to telecom. But China’s actions are detrimental to one and all.

I have no love lost for the Chinese or their stooges in India- they are severely compromising the national security. Each time I switch on the crappy plasticky extension on my computer (the Huawei modem), I realise the grave threat every time.

Now Chinese are deliberately witholding the information on bird flu Just a reminder of all sorts that anything can happen with these slitty eyes.

The potential problem of underreporting may not only be technical. There are also claims that Chinese medical personnel have been arrested for trying to report cases(!!!). China enforced severe restrictions on the investigation and reporting of suspected cases of bird flu in June 2005.

Well, SARS was a total outbreak when Chinese were egg faced.

Here’s another. For all those who claim that China is “going up by leaps and bounds”, here is a sobering statistic.

Check out these numbers from Indian Economy blog Incidentally, they reported that this blog isn’t available from China! They might have well blocked it. For me, well, I am far away from the commies.

Point is, that telecom is virtually a non starter. Chinese are desperate to make a mark. Chinese typically operate as if they have been put under disadvantage by others. Hence they pull out all stops to achieve their “goal” by hook or crook.

That isnt good news for India.

On the bird flu, i was a bit concerned that there were no cases reported in India to date. So i asked my local Chicken seller what he thought about it.
He told me we grow most of out stock locally, India does not import much from abroad. Implying there was lots of trade between China & it’s surrounding countries with the exception of India in chicken.

Chinese are made to feel the way they do as its actually a handy way to manipulate a captive public. Point the finger abroad. Its an old tried & tested tactic. Nothing to see here. Witness what happened in the US recently, and they are a democratic (within reason) country.

The Chinese govt has this unwritten contract with its ppl, shut up and we give you 10% growth. Yes they will stop at nothing to achieve this. In any case they are a quasi dictatorship, so things get done on time.

You might think its sneaky, but i think its literally a question of survival for the Chinese administration. If that growth rate drops there will be rumbles and heads will fall.

How long can they keep this game up ?

The West is already getting uneasy about the trade imbalance between their countries & China.

The Japanese had a good run where everyone thought they had some secret formula. But then the economy imploded from bad loans etc. Similar scenario in China today. Whether it will peter out in the same way remains to be seen. But i suspect a gradual decline to a steady state rather than a people’s revolution. This might signal China’s entry as a developed country.

Freedom will come ever so slowly. Once the pressure cooker stops whistling ;)

True.
Have you realised that these viruses could have been enginnered?
SARS was a corona virus, the usual ordinary virus that causes common cold. Bird flu is ordinary influenza virus, at best causing “sniffles” every year. I really doubt that these viruses originated in the wild.

I check out in my books too, SARS was practically unknown before it occured. Bird flu doesn’t get any mention from birds to human contact- there is no documented case. True, the influenza virus does mutate but doesn’t get lethal from animals to humans. Well, this is my observation.

One more thing, The recent “blast” in a chemical factory upstream which has polluted the river water source. It got reported in CNN but the Indian media, as usual didn’t cover it. Similarly, the flash floods in Parechu. The chemical factory blast was intended to poison the downstream in Siberia. Russia and China are at loggerheads…Parechu river was designed to inflict maximum damage to India.

Seems to be natural disasters? Trust it on the spin they have been able to give.

I d agree with your thoughts here.
