Wonders of technology.
As I type this, there is a streaming podcast of Diggination using Amarok under KDE. (This link gives you the direct podcast feed; you can launch your iTunes/ or while using Opera it would download the feed summaries. After that, you can download the entire episode or switch to Amarok to enjoy streaming radio).
All streaming down while spoilt for choice for radios. I am told, there is a way down to stream podcasts on anything under the sun for any kind of an audience. New information. New knowledge.
Only wish though that BSNL becomes unlimited. I see a spike of usage consuming gobs of MB’s and giving me enough piles to have a sore back.
Of course, once the whole thing is set up, I know for sure that clicking on the “latest” podcast is just a matter of few clicks. That’s the whole purpose of the technology/software. The whole purpose of Internet access.
Though the BIG hassle is the huge majority of the people who have no clue to what Broadband access can do to your lives. This includes my “favourite” service provider. Who are actually choking on my bandwith needs. How much MB would I consume to give them nightmares?
Well, in future I d be doing my little bit of “educating” the gentle folk about the Broadband wonders too. This seems to be a great idea. For starters, let’s rock the inboxes first and demand for unlimited access. Broadband is as essential a commodity as electricity and we can’t be at the mercy of idiots who have their own twisted agendas.
