BSNL Broadband: No Nirvana

Tags: , , , , , , ,

It’s a countdown; may or may not announce any more plans. Unlimited? They are freaking pimping over the last mile access.

It seems that the International bandwidth rates are more or less similar all across the world. However, the happiest dudes are the call centre who are keen on taking on the boot. The cartoonists have a field day in western countries. First, they potray as a land of snake charmers and elephants (both a rarity) and now with ubiquitous head sets proclaiming “ Calling”. Wow. Aren’t we proud of being whatever “IT superpower” we are?

Frankly, the cup of woe filleth over. I wont be surprised if this is a dead dodo- the promise to “review” the pricing plans and put them in effect. I have no love lost for the babu sitting up who is a glorified file pusher with his own retinue of “personal assistants”, clerks, peons and what not. Gawd! We could do without them!

I would DEFINITELY be surprised is BSNL introduces it’s “unlimited” plans and over prices them. It would be an equivalent of a tectonic shift; a wonderous tsunami and the proverbial “sun rising in the west” if any decision is taken to the effect. BSNL has no outwardly incentive to improve, it’s officer’s are not accountable (or so it seems) and we pay through our noses to support them. is hand in glove while there have been “motivated political cases” that public funds have been diverted to favour Communications Ministers’ TV channels. No one knows the extent of truth. It’s like putting Frankenstein in charge of the blood bank. (Did I get this right? Who drank blood anyway?)

Let’s see. This is stalled evolution of the country. We are used to stunted and their ideologies masquerading as “public good” for “aam aadmi and aurat” (common man and woman) while they f*** away our happiness with smiling faces.

I have been getting piles and face flush with anger and fuming and foaming at my mouth. It has forced me to enjoy “mithu da movies” and Govinda’s “gyrations”. (Yes, the same chap who is an “honourable MP).

Jokes apart, there is a deep sense of cynicism that we are condemned to be stuck in the same groove as in 1947 when we had that unfortunate “tryst with destiny”. Mercifully, it wasn’t the “aam aadmi”; anything and everything could be blamed on Hindu rate of growth and “foreign hand”. While “foreign hand” means more or less the Pakistani ISI now, the “scorching rate of growth” is no longer the “Hindu rate”.

So much for blemishes.

Yeah, more money for BSNL. That would work... not!

(Btw, vampires drink blood. Or would if they existed.)
