BSNL Broadband: New plans!

This is awesome! BSNL has done it again! It has introduced a new plan which, if it doesnt make us the laughing stock of the entire f***ing world, nothing else would. It has introduced a new plan which offers a “free” download limit of 150MB.

If I had my way, I’d truly stuff this up the a** of the person who legitimised this plan. Even though, it doesnt make any difference to me as a person; nevertheless if media claims that this is the cheapest plan in the world, then you would know for sure that they are whoring around with the person who offers them the most advertising money.

Cheapstake bastardisation of this nation. It wouldn’t be surprising if UPA (and their pet poodle Rahul Gaand “i”) jumps in the fray and claims as the next best thing to Christ and pasta.

Mama Sonia would approve.

And so would Manmoron.

I feel like throwing up in their faces. It is just like the electric companies of India. The mre one consumes, the more per unit they have to pay. Whatever happened to the notion that `the consumer is king’? Unfortunately this notion will never be respected in India for in the country, the consumers themselves are the biggest asses who allow themselves to be cowered by policy makers who seem to be ill educated about the areas they are framing policies for. BSNL cannot even supply a connection in 3 months to new applicants, can they solve that problem with these new (sic) plans? As long as the consumers do not awaken from their sweet sleep, nothing is going to change.

lmao , probably they thought that since elections are coming , lets reduce everything (including the download limit)

airtel would want to take the honour of having the cheapest plan so they will probably so we will see a 16mbps plan with a 100 mb limit for 50/-

Nothing is going to change! Firstly the `dot’ (dirty old tricks) will never let go of its milch cow, the copper line. They will use the same to milk asses like us who do not have the guts to stand up and protest. The private players are not watching silently. While `trai’ looks on innocently at `dot’ milking us, the private players will keep on pushing at our butts with all their might. If questioned, they simply respond; `what can we do, we do not have access to the last mile copper loop’. Mark my words, this is a never ending story and shall remain so for quite some time. I’m surprised to note that while there have been a few comments on Abhishek’s posts in some broadband related forums, none of the members from these sites has had the time to post their thoughts over here. They are too busy downloading w@rez and the latest adult flicks. Only when the net is down, do they remember Abhishek and his posts and then it is too late, cause these gentlemen (sic) do not even bother to bookmark sites like this one.

Yeah. Thats true. Thats why there is no love lost for them. Everyone wants higher speeds with minimum fuss. Its not that I need people to post their thoughts here. All I need is the group to get some spine and stand up. Sadly, they mirror the political class. Fickle minded.

Nevertheless, personally, I have nothing to complain about. I have 512k unlimited from an ISP that’s fantastic and have very little to crib about them. So far, there have been no issues with them or their billing. Still, I’d like to push them over the edge because they can deliver what everyone else is taking for granted all over the world. 256k doesnt exist except deep in the pockets of USA or UK; by and large they have moved up to Mbps. Yet, they have different fights and issues. Mercifully, noone gives a damn about those issues here.

Morons exist and they would not cease to exist.

    >>>cause these gentlemen (sic) do not even bother to bookmark sites like this one.

    Bookmarked!

It is tough, though: so many sites to check in a day.

But, to the topic, what surprises me is that so many people are satisfied with the broadband plans available to them, or, at best, believe that waiting patiently is the only option

The problem is not about the speed (though it is a crucial factor). The main question is the way we are being forced to eat whatever s*** is being guzzled into our gullets. As mentioned by Abhishek, we do not have the spine. For me, access to the net is crucial, hence I keep 2 connections. While I have faced just one downtime with Alliance (the days when 3 undersea cables were cut in rapid succession), the same lasted for just 2 hours. As far as my great, ahem, 2mbps bsnl connection is concerned, have lost count of the number of times the same has been down in the 2 months of its existence. Since friday evening, it is taking me more than 40 seconds to get authenticated with the server. Complaints to their helpdesk is a fruitless task, since the lady at the other end keeps on asking for the error number, `there is no problem with the server (she was not using the word “sir” yesterday’. There is no error number, since the connection does get established. After that, the broadband works it fits & jumps. Why cant these idiots understand that the root of the fault is with the dslam at my exchange. 2 of my friends, both senior officers of bsnl, one in chennai & the other in hyderabad, openly accept that there are countless problems. A month back, the officer at my exchange gave up after trying to fix my problems and gave me the cell number of the zonal manager of our area. When I rung him up, he asked me why had I rung him up.. I should contact the person at the local office… this is how things run at bsnl.. `Bloody Shitty Nitpicking Langoors’

Bloody thieves is what these BSNL guys are. F**k them. These guys take our money (no sorry, make that…steal our money) and don’t deliver the basic connection they promise. I get disconnections and random downtimes all the time. They have no customer care so to speak and the problem never gets solved. Now they are treating the consumers like filthy beggars with these nitpicking dirty cheap plans. This is just taking advantage of the ignorant lower class people of India and nothing else. Do these losers have any idea how long it takes to exhaust 150 MB just by surfing the net? I use around 40 MB within 2 hours whenever I surf the net.
