Rediff reports thatforeign firms may get to service Indian Telecom companies.

This is of course subject to clearnace from the Intelligence bureau.

Though, I fail to understand about what kind of complexity that the telecom equipment might have that Indian engineers wouldn’t be able to handle. I have no idea about the same and would welcome in case anyone enlightens me on this aspect.

We have just given away another opputunity to create employment and conserve foreign exchange. In my opinion, much of the foreign exchange in dollars is imperative for the nation to finance it’s high Oil import bill and repayment of external debts.

Let’s see how this works out.
