VSNL Broadband: Take it or leave it!

Tags: , , , , ,

Thanks to one of the readers here on this blog, here is part 2 of the show. The earlier part is here.

I was totally horrified to see ’s response to the whole damned issue. It was an officially signed document from none other than the vice president of a group company where they were clearly helpless about the pathetic . At end of the signed documment they clearly mentioned that either you take and be happy with what’s being given or leave it! This is what have to offer to their customers; one of the largest corporate houses in the country! I have always held this long standing belief that most of the “honchos” are over paid dumb MBA’s with no orientation towards “customer satisfaction”.

My sympathies are obviously with the customer who has had to suffer the downtimes to such extent. This is NOT one off story to come to light. This is the story of thousands of customers across the nation who have had no choice except to latch on the “broadband” either lured by the brand name or the compulsion because there was no other service provider in their area. This is the story of ineffectual emasculated regulator which looks away at the other side because they cannot help out a customer in distress. The regulator cannot even enforce it’s own regulations!

Unfortunately, not everyone has stood up on their ground and demanded their rights. I have seen people venting off on the forums and hoping that some miracle would happen. There is a sizeable number of the morons happy about “clicktivism” and sending off online petitions. As if that really makes a difference.

Tata Broadbandwould still be defrauding a large number of customers unless some severe strictures are passed off against them. As seen in the show, they have clearly mentioned that Ajoy’s case is one off an abberation whereas, it is clearly not the case. Ajoy has documentary proof against the company to prove their false claims.

Ideally, the people along the chain of command should be held for their lapses. They are not doing their job for which they have been appointed. Who is to be held responsible for these lapses?

CNN-IBN: Part 2 of the saga unfolds

Tags: , , , , , ,

I hope that part two of the saga would unfold today regarding the fight against and the ISP’s in general. We have had the interested ( on course) with some local newspapers joining in the fight against the high handedness of the corporates.

Time and again, I have rattled against the for their proven inefficiencies. Their standard response to the “hand me outs” and their willingness to play dumb men and women covering the “press releases” with words like “world class” thrown in for liberal measure. They tend to sacrifice their conscience in their own larger interests. It would not be justified to generalise the whole profession for obvious reasons but I’d rather say that there are a few white sheep alone in whole lot of black sheep bleating together. The only other honourable profession I know is prostitution; atleast they dont sell their conscience.

Still, let the media take up this cause and let’s see where all this lands up. I am sick of them anyway.

Airtel Broadband: 8Mbps speeds?

Tags: , , , , , ,

Ho hum. 8 Mbps? As usual, the execs were frothing at their mouths claiming to be the “first” to launch 8 Mbps. Their download limits? 7-8Gb. It’s laughable guys.

I wish I could actually electrify their sorry backsides and vanish this scum from the face of this earth. Who would pay 2k for 7/8GB which you can finish off in no time? ISP’s have indeed found a way to add insult to injury.

Why is the not listening? What is the compulsion for them? If you mouth platitudes about serving the interests of the have nots, why the F*** you act as a consort to the powers that be? In my opinion, this is total betrayal of trust that people place in the fourth estate and with every passing day, it is becoming increasingly clear that is getting enmeshed with the super power structures.

This news comes in wake of Sunil Bharti Mittal joining the trillionaire club.

So, the powerful become even more powerful.

What are we going to do with faster speeds? Check emails at the speed of light? My middle finger goes upto you guys. You are in the race for asshole of the year award anyway.
